MBTI test chatbot

I knew that test in late 2017 when I joined Phandeeyar. Didn't know what it was actually.

I got a request from my colleague to answer the test and send the result to them immediately.

That test was called 16 personalities test. There are many questions inside it and pretty frustrating.

I got INFP the mediator in that test.

The next day, when I went to the office, there were photos of colleagues on notice board ,there were grouped according to the test result.

I was really keen on the test and asked my other friends to take it as well.

But, there was a challenge, the questions are all in English, some of them are quite difficult to understand their meaning.

I wished that it would be great if we can translate the test to Burmese, so more accurate answers will be obtained.

It was just a dream, I was busy with other tasks, besides, I didn't know the algorithm behind the test.

So I understood that even if I translated to Burmese, the logic behind this couldn’t be copied easily.

After 2 years, when I got a little bit of spare time, I rechecked on the test, I knew that the original test is called the Myers Briggs test and there is a document about how this test works.

I read it and figured out how to combine the formula with 16 personalities test.

But it wasn't easy. Some questions inside 16 personalities were difficult to identify, like which question was asked for what answer, etc.

So, I needed to aim low a bit.

I decided only to work on classic Myers Briggs test.

I started with 20 questions. I translated those questions to Burmese then created a chatbot on chatfuel.

I researched how to integrate this test into a chatbot. It’s much easier to lure users. They simply needed to click on the link and take the test in messenger, then get the result.

I implemented that mini project in April 2019.

There was a long Thingyan holiday. Even though the rule is quite simple, it’s challenging to integrate into chatfuel. After testing the possible logic for two days, I figured out how to develop one. I tested the bot with my friends and learned the errors. It worked like a charm. But the holiday vacation is over and I was back in routine work.

Even the chatbot is still working I didn't announce it publicly.

Now it's July. I created a new FB page and link the page with the messenger, then announced it on Facebook.

I received nearly 50 interactions on the chatbot.

People seem to be really interested in that kind of personality test chatbot. You can test it in https://m.me/iknowyoumbti

.

I created this test chabot just for fun.

But I know this can be used more effectively.

For example, an employment agency can use it for job seekers to find out which kind of career is most suitable for them.

Sadly, the chatfuel only allows 100 engagement as a maximum.

So, I know the chatbot will stop when it reaches to 100 users. And I need to spend the budget to make it sustainable which I can't afford now.

Anyway, this is the third chatbot I've ever made.

And happy to present to you.

:D
